Hello Music Lovers,      Last night was the 6th annual Madison Area Music Awards, and the winners are ........ Harmonious Wail's Resist Temptation CD won BEST JAZZ ALBUM OF THE YEAR Harmonious Wail / Maggie Delaney-Potthoff's  "I Like To Feel My Bones" from Resist Temptation won BEST JAZZ SONG OF THE YEAR Maggie Delaney-Potthoff was one of four finalist nominees in a very close race for  FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR Harmonious Wail was one of four finalist nominees for the very prestigious  ARTIST OF THE YEAR      The MAMAs have donated over $30,000 in 2008 alone, putting musical instruments directly into the hands of youths. Last night 's 2009 Lifetime Achievement award was presented to founder of Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra Marvin Rabin. In his words the MAMA's are "the most important program in the midwest".  Congratulations Marvin, The MAMA organization, all of the finalists and winners and all the music students, players and music lovers. Please check 'm out and support. MAMA 2010 is just around the corner and as we all know, music makes the world a better place. www.themamas.org www.broadjam.com Thank You, Harmoniously, the Wail |
