Hi All,   We are mid way thru the tour and things have been going great. Three wonderful days at Range Recording Studios in Philly working with our brilliant grammy-winning producer Aaron Levinson laying down tracks for the new CD. Here is a pic of the crew
from left to right - Matt, Sims, producer Aaron Levinson, Maggie, engineer Brian Ritrovito, Tom. We just wrapped up - a few wail favorites - He's Old He's Six, Temptation, No Mama, and some brand new tunes - I Can't Believe That You're in Love With Me, I'll See You in My Dreams, a really cool Harry Nillson tune, I Found a New Baby (an homage to Jethro Burns), Whitebird (yes It's a Beautiful Day), and the gem of the session, a great tune that Sims & Maggie's son Henry wrote - right now we are calling it The Vegan Zombie's Lament - we might slip that in as a sub-tittle and simply call it Man in the Moon or Because You're You, or It Wouldn't Change a Thing. -- Stay tuned and I will keep you informed and shoot out a rough mp3 when I can.    Last night we had the honor of playing the beautiful Sellersville Theatre. Definitely one of the coolest and best run music venues happening today. We loved it and them and want to make this a regular stop. Please mark you calendars for Oct, ' 09 (the next Wail east swing).   Again I will let you know.     Tonight we are off to Williamsport PA., Sat workshops in Philly and Chris' Jazz Club that night -- see wail gigs page for details.  More later - All the best -- Harmoniously, the Wail |
