resist temptationWe've got the title - Resist Temptation, a cover and release dates set - digital release is Sept 23 and the official hard copy street date is Oct 7, (2008).

Here is the song list;

1. Joie De Vivre - a Sims D-P tune, Mag sings it in French and Chris Wagoner, our original violist, guests on accordian.

2. Lung Shan Temple Chant - a tune Tom wrote/arranged. inspired by Wail tour to Taiwan - Howard Naughton guests on violin.

3. Who Loves The Sun - a re-worked wail-ized Velvet Underground tune - Sims on ukulele and Magster knocking it out of the park (sorry - that's baseball talk, for all you non-baseball folks)

4. Posh De Wash - this is a crazy one. In the studio, our producer wizard/dear friend forever Aaron Levenson said "that's fine, i love that tune, but do it in 5/4 time." - Oh sure, easy for yu to say. After much lip biting and brow beating we got it to "settle in" , then Aaron brought in Howard Levy to rocket charge the wee tune into the highlands. wow!

5. I Like to Feel My Bones - written and sung by Maggie - Inspired by a horrible truck crash/roll over while we were on tour in the Blue Ridge Mountains. - basically, it's good to be alive.

6. Only The Young - a Ricky Nelson semi obscure tune - again Maggie really delivers and Howard Levy layed down a beautiful harmonica part.

7. Home At Last - yep the Steely Dan tune - a lot of fun to play and a whole new direction for the Wail. Takes us right back to college days.

8. Unfaithful Servant - from the Band - again pretty unusual for the Wail - it is a beatiful song and brings us into a new past.

9. Tishomingo Blues - a great little blues tune, David Bromberg plays a wonderful guitar intro & solo - Maggie sings.

10. You Can Never Hold Back Spring - Tom Waits from the movie "The Tiger and the Snow". This has become one of our favorites - Maggie senses hope for a better world when she sings these lyrics - make the rest of us cry - Howard Levy layed down a great supporting piano part.
