New CD – Resist Temptation is now available

   The official digital release was Sept 23 – all major digital services are now selling mp3’s of the new recording and the Cd’s are available on Oct 7.  Pre orders are being taken at Amazon.  This one has been a long wait and we feel wonderful about it taking flight.

Up-coming Gigs

Every Gig from here on out is a CD release!!     Top of the list is the Chicago Django Jazz Fest at the Green Mill. Fri Oct 3.   The Wail will split the night with our new friend, Midwest Gypsy Swing veteran and guitar wizard Gonzalo Bergara.  The Green Mill is at 4802 N. Broadway Ave and is the premier Chicago Jazz hot spot- The Wail plays at 8pm and we WILL have the New CD - RESIST TEMTATION for sale that night . 

This is going to be one hot night -- Henry Delaney-Potthof will guest on guitar and Dave Adler will guest on congas and melodica.

Fri Oct 10 the Wail travels to Cape Girardeau, MO – a 7:30 concert at Hotel Marquette -

And on Sat the 11th of Oct  it’s the LaSalle Jazz Festival  in LaSalle IL,  516 1st St.

Other big Gig news – in the late 70’s Sims & Tom played in  a bluegrass, newgrass and western swing band called Stone Oak – miraculously everyone is not only still alive, but still picking – So the boys are doing a reunion show at The Harmony Bar.   7pm on Sunday Sept 28

Road Notes

    The Wail just got back from KC – where we did a showcase set at the Arts Midwest Conference.  This is a conference for Performing Arts Centers and Concert series and we have been getting great feed back already – gas up the truck brew some coffee – the Wail is on the Road!  I have a wonderful pic of the Wail dressed to kill - need to figure out how to post it -- stay on the news section and I will be sure to make a squak when I get it there.

 There is great feed back still coming in from the Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest -- again I will make note of pics ---  and if you go to youtube and search for Midwest Gypsy Swing you will find a ton of great videos.
