ahhh another perfect monday morning.  hope y'all's weekend was great.  film fest here this week and we caught a few.  Best ever is salmon fishing in yemen - one of our new all time favorites.  The Wail is heading east this week with gigs in Baltimore, Lansdowne (Philly), DC and WXPN on Sunday evening.  The big news is that we are travelling as a trio.  A lot of thought went into this - we feel great about it and are anxious to get your thoughts - after all it IS your band - we only do what you say, (or think). not only your servants, we are your musical puppets.  I will post videos and notes from the road - please come out to a show and let us know if H Wail power trio works for ye.

Over the week end Mag and I were at the Capitol in Madison Wisconsin to be part of 62,000 protesters.  It was a year ago that Governor Scott Walker and the Koch Brothers (and ALEC) written and sponsored union busting bill was passed in a very sneaky and underhanded (and illegal) midnight session.  Recall Walker! Reclaim Wisconsin!

Every body's getting new instruments.  This is the bass Jeffo just got from legendary bassist, Jeffo's teacher and friend-o-Wail Richard Davis.  Man this thing has got tone to kill and sounds excellent.  Way to go Jeffo and thank you Richard!

Just back fro a post Midwinter Midwest Gypsy Swing Fest trip to visit Mom in Las Vagas.   She is doing a-OK.  We had a wonderful midday jam with the Hot Club of Las Vagas, pictured here with coffee shop owner Holly of Holly's Cuppa.  Marlow, Mundo of HCofLV, Holly and yours truly.  Note me Ma relaxing in the sun taking in the great tunes.  Great guys, great band, great coffee shop.  They will come to our fest soon.

(Seems like we take a personal trip each year after the fest.  Next Sept we are planning aBoundary Waters wilderness canoe trip.)
