Hello Wail Fans!
Just got home last night and man does it sure feel good to be back in the Mid-West! It helps to return to a great present of Gloria Jean's coffee, which I'm presently ejoying **I highly recommend butter toffee by the way :) ** Tour was a major success and I'm super excited to begin working on our new songs for ya'll. Be sure to check out our up-coming show at the Brink on May 19th. Possible live tapping available after the show!
Jeffo over n' out
Hi, everyone. Mark here, wishing you all in Wailland a fond farewell. I had a great time this year, reconnecting with Sims and Maggie and getting to know Jeff, and it's been an honor to be part of such a wonderful band. I've met so many super fans and friends across the country, and I'm filled with love and gratitude to you all. I hope we can continue to meet at various festivals and concerts. Please keep supporting the Wail, and best to you all,
Mark
Mark here,
We had a *great* time on the east coast, but now it's time to return to whatever normal is. We played the Brink Lounge last Saturday and had a terrific crowd, then I beat it back to Minneapolis in time for my regular Sunday brunch with a band I play with called Patty and the Buttons. We got new hammers put on our piano today, so I'm psyched about getting reaquainted with my keyboard chops.
Mark here - we're in Philadelphia, staying with original Wail guitarist John Cooper and his lovely family. Tonight we play at the Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport, PA, then back to Philly for some recording. You can follow our schedule on our calendar page.
By the way, how many of you remember John from years ago?
Mark here,
I had a few great outdoor gigs this week, enjoying the weather while it's still warm. I also ran a 4 mile race to benefit PACER, an organization that serves families with children who have special needs. The theme was fighting bullying - can you do anything to help?
Mark again - my wife Kathy and I had a great Sunday - we drove to La Crosse to help dear friends celebrate their 10th anniversary. We took our time and enjoyed a spectacular ride along the St Croix and Mississippi rivers and spent the night - quite a treat for us. Next weekend, of course, is the Midwest Gypsy Jazz festival, and I'm really looking forward to some spectacular music. I hope you've all purchased tickets!
